MIA

Mia is an illustrator and hand-poke/machine-free artist, with a previous career as a registered nurse. Her delicate illustrative skills combined with her knowledge of skin and hygiene has provided the perfect basis for tattooing.

Since 2016, Mia has been running her illustration business 'The Art by Mia' which focuses on the marine world and the Australian environment. She has enjoyed working with brands that hold environmental protection at heart, and wants to continue to do so.

Detail is at the centre of Mia's art, which often results in her spending upwards of 40 hours on fine-line and dot-work illustrations. Mia loves to work with Australian flora and fauna, fascinated with the unique details and patterns.

Mia is the owner of Sun Loft Studio, and is very proud to have opened the space in 2021, after many years of working towards it. She likes to think of her tattoos as delicate jewellery, and loves to work with her clients to find the perfect piece. Mia enjoys building connections with her clients, and will always endeavour to make them feel comfortable.
